Summer time calls for frequent visits to one of my favorite cities... CHICAGO!!
Every time I go to this city, I discover something new ,, and of course when u like something or someone all that you look at is how nice the place or person is ... This is exactly what happens to me when I go to this city....
It often starts off like this... "Snita, we are planning to go to Chicago.. u want to come???" and I will be" well, naah i just went couple of weeks back!!!" then frnds will be " why??? are u busy this weekend??? if you dont have anything just come along.. it will be fun!! ".... thats all it takes to convince me to go this Magnificient city...:)
So this time the occassion was a surprise party for a good friend of mine who is getting married in June..And what did we do.. Well i live 3.5 hrs from downtown Chicago.. so we left on Sat afternoon.. kidnapped this friend of ours only to realise that this frnd wasnt too surprised with the fact that we were taking him to Chicago!!!
Entry into the city was with Chai (tea) and pakodas( deep fried fritters) in an Upscale Indian restaurant..then a long walk on the Magnificient Mile just tempting you to the lustre of clothes and myriad of brands just to wish you had all the money in the world to buy watever u feel like...
We partied at one of the finest Morroccon lounges called "Alamrah" located close to Downtown Chicago...The interiors of this place was just beautiful, it created a very arabic feel there... they serve food, there is nice live arabic music and then belly dancing where all my guy frnds were closely engrossed in following the dancer.....It was one of the days when I danced to my glory leaving everything else behind not worrying whats lying ahead of me.. Wow.. that feels so gooood!!!! :) Mind blowing... For the one of the first time we somehwat did club hopping.. i literally hopped since I really dont get as much pleasure with drinks as with Dance!! :) 2 am was when we called it over and drove back to the silent town where reality awaits and the wonderland ends!!! :)
But nevertheless, there is always an inclination to go back to reality how much ever fun the wonderland feels... am not sure why??????
